The Nashville Sounds baseball team is now selling tickets for the home games in the new stadium in Germantown near the Farmers Market. The first home game is Friday, April 17th at 7:05 pm. What a great day it would be to start out with the Local Tastes of Nashville food tour which starts at the Farmers Market and walks by the Sounds stadium into Germantown.

We now have a Saturday tour with the addition of Butchertown Hall! Butchertown was a nickname of Germantown due to the many butcheries in Germantown in the 1800s. Their beef brisket is great so that is what we have on the tour.  Jenni’s ice cream now has a location at the Farmers Market so you can enjoy that after the tour if you have any room left!

2015 SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT LAUNCH Nashville will host a two day extravaganza on Lower Broadway to celebrate the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch February 11-12. A portion of Broadway will be tented for Swimville featuring live music from emerging Nashville artists and more. Fans will see Sports Illustrated Swimsuit come to life through activities, showcases, and model appearances. I will be doing a Local Tastes of Nashville walking food tour on February 13th. It will be a special Valentine tour so come join us if you will be in Nashville. If it is not to cold for Swimville it is not to cold for a walking tour!

I am learning from doing food tours in Nashville during the winter months that weather is much more than the temperature. The “feel like” temperature is more important to me than what the thermometer says. Today it was 34 degrees but it was nice with the sun shining and a “feel like” temp of 40. I can do that any day!

Tempur Chocolate shoppe is now open and on our tour! All the truffles and chocolate that I have tasted are great.
